Features the new azo type blue metal stabilized recording dye used in the highest quality discs!
Pros -- Now this new 8x-1x Certified DVD-R features the high quality blue metal AZO recording dye that resists fading during storage and playback, offering quality data storage and video recording, at super low prices! These AZO discs are certainly the most inexpensive true quality media, that actually meets industry video and data storage standards. Consistent manufacturing delivers reliable performance for burners and players that have proven compatible with AZO dye DVD-R. For compatible machines and software (shown below), these discs can in fact deliver high performance at a rock bottom price. Once recorded accurately, the discs play dependably well on the great majority of DVD players. Cons -- These are 'not your old silver/blue' DVD-R discs, so be sure to check the compatibility before ordering large quantities. Be absolutely SURE you are using the latest available firmware for your burner (see our "Check Your Burner" link on our front page). Also be sure to update your recording software (i.e. Nero, uLead, etc.) to the latest version from those softwares' official support web pages.
Archival grade DVD-R discs for longer storage, and reliable playback in home or office. For "General Purpose" or "minus" type DVD-R/W computer-drive DVD burners (not recommended for stand alone home DVD recorder machines or Macintosh computers). These discs feature a completely blank silver top non-printable surface, with a metallic blue dye on their bottom surface. Backed by our 30-day product exchange warranty.
Compatible DVD Burners & Software Notes
Will burn at 8x speeds on many models of internal DVD writer drives, and will fall back to 4x, 2x or 1x speed in some models. Updating your firmware to the very latest versions will help you achieve the fastest possible speeds with these discs, check your manufacturer for new firmware updates. Be sure to use only the latest software versions with these new discs. Older software may not support these discs, or may support them only at slower speeds. Check with your software maker for updates (i.e. Roxio CD DVD Creator, Nero, uLead, etc.). We recommend you try Nero 220.127.116.11 or newer for most recording projects on most DVD burners with these discs.
